- Designs high-speed circuitry that requires advanced printed circuit board design techniques such as tuned traces, impedance control techniques and customized layer stackup. Expertise in DDR4, PCIe, PCI and 1 Gigabit Ethernet as well as low-noise analog requirements and RF layout techniques.
- Capable of designing PCBs for low-cost applications and for full-rate production projects that levy stringent testability and maintainability requirements. Design features like micro vias, blind/buried vias and buried capacitance layers can be incorporated if project needs dictate.
- Utilizes powerful Xilinx Zynq and UltraScale System on a Chip (SoC) components alongside custom analog designs for efficient power and size designs.
NTA has decades of experience developing custom VHDL modules targeting many Xilinx and Altera FPGA families.
- Designs custom VHDL intellectual property (IP) modules, simulations, and hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) integration platforms.
- Specializes in precise discrete signal control and time-sensitive communication protocols such as SDLC and MIL-STD-1553.
- Utilizes industry standard tools such as Xilinx Vivado and Intel Quartus to develop complex SoC solutions combining ARM processing cores and custom FPGA logic designs.
NTA specializes in embedded real-time system development targeting missile platforms as well as laboratory test assets. Our designs range from low-power, bare-metal microprocessor solutions to complete SoC solutions encompassing custom FPGA IP and RTOS-hosted C++ applications.
- Offers C/C++ bare-metal design expertise for many target processors, such as the MSP430 and ARM Cortex families. Low-level software development guarantees maximum throughput and minimum power usage for the highest-performance embedded design.
- Provides software design expertise in industry-standard RTOS environments including FreeRTOS, RTEMS, Xenomai, and VxWorks.
- Employs custom analysis tools developed in Python, Matlab, and WaveMetrics IGOR Pro to validate timing and performance on target hardware and in HWIL environments.
