NTA is developing an enhanced guidance set (EGS) for the GMLRS rocket based upon the Xilinx UltraScale SoC. A 64-bit real-time operating system running on the multicore processor will provide all guidance and control of the missile as well as all other existing GS functionality. Furthermore, several enhancements will allow for additional functionality in the future.
A custom power control unit was designed to provide the required operational voltages and other analog functions required by the mission, and the electronics package was designed to meet all environmental and EMC requirements for the existing GMLRS platform.
