GMLRS

NTA has been involved in the design, implementation, and testing of the GMLRS autopilot and guidance algorithms from the very beginning of the program. Recent experience includes upgrading the guidance and control (G&C) algorithms to accommodate various new missile components (new motor, tail-control CAS, etc.). NTA participated in the design of the entire control actuation…

Hellfire

NTA has been involved with the design and deployment of the Hellfire weapon system, and its variants, for approximately 20 years. This includes applying expertise in modeling development, seeker technology, airframe stabilization, guidance algorithms and sensor characterization. Originating from the war on terror, Hellfire has become the first choice in air-to-ground weapons when low-collateral, surgical…

Navy Littoral Combat Ship (LCS)

For the Navy Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) program, NTA supported the development of a fire control solution to demonstrate the vertical launch of Longbow Hellfire weapons from sea-based platforms. After completion of the demonstration program, NTA provided technical expertise to LCS in validating and fielding its integrated fire control solution.

JAGM

For JAGM weapons, NTA supported the development of a custom fire control platform demonstrated in live-fire exercises at Eglin Air Force Base (EAFB). This platform can support three launcher stations, and includes the generation of the MIL-STD-1760 interface signal set, the development and scheduling of the MIL-STD-1553 message set, and a custom graphical user-interface for…

Modular Missile Technology (MMT)

NTA has been involved in the design, implementation, and testing of the control actuation system (CAS) for the MMT science and technology program. The CAS is a 2.75-inch design with four independently-controlled canards. The canards are designed to fold up into the missile aero shell and then deploy out of the missile during the boost…

LowER-AD

NTA has been involved in the design, implementation, and testing of the control actuation system (CAS) for the LowER-AD science and technology program. The CAS is a large-motor, high-power, high-torque CAS design that is able to operate under the immense load environment that is required for this high-dynamic missile system. NTA has also been involved…
