May 9, 2022 – Last week, NTA provided an opportunity for students from Huntsville High, Grissom High, Lee High, and Columbia High to learn about real-world technical design and machining by spending an afternoon in the company’s CNC Machining Facility. The student group is participating in the Huntsville City School’s Precision Machining and Technology Academy, a career academy that provides specialized classroom and laboratory experiences for students interested in the field of manufacturing and engineering technology.
“We’re thrilled to support this fine group of students by giving them the opportunity to see a working design and machining environment that is directly supporting defense and aerospace projects,” said Shannon Fields, President of NTA, Inc. “Mechanical design and manufacturing is an exciting and growing field. We appreciate groups like this that are helping young people understand the opportunities and prepare for the future.”
NTA’s Mechanical Design Team provides comprehensive support to customers from requirements generation and full design and modeling, all the way to manufacturing and implementation. NTA’s fully self-sufficient CNC Machining facility allows the mechanical team to have greater control of design implementations, interface directly with the CNC machinists, and deliver quality products to customers.
